Love is a small word that carries a lifetime of meaning.

It’s in the quiet glances, the in-jokes nobody else understands, the way two people choose each other—again and again.

I was recently honoured to be featured on the cover of Alive Magazine, with a story about my work as a marriage celebrant across pages 4–7. The article, “Stories of Love, Everywhere,” captures what I cherish most: the incredible diversity of real love stories on the Fraser Coast.

Every couple, a one‑of‑a‑kind story

With Lauretta Wright, celebrant, of Wright Celebrations, no two ceremonies are ever the same.Your ceremony is not a template; it’s a story. Your story.

I take the time to get to know you; how you met, what you’ve overcome, what you adore (and gently tease!) about one another. From there, I craft a ceremony that feels like you: authentic, warm, relaxed, and filled with moments that make your guests say, “That was so them.”

Whether it’s a barefoot beach wedding, a garden gathering, or a meaningful moment in your own backyard, your ceremony should feel like a natural extension of your relationship, not a performance.

Recognised as an Awarding Winning Celebrant – still all about you

I’m honoured to be recognised as the 2025, 2024, 2023 #1 Celebrant in the Wedding Industry Awards for the Fraser Coast and Wide Bay regions.

Awards are wonderful, but what truly matters is what sits behind them: the trust couples place in me and the way their ceremonies make them feel. Those moments of laughter, happy tears and that deep sense of “this is us” are what I carry with me to every new wedding.

With over 30 years of professional experience and a background as a university lecturer, I bring calm, clarity and confidence to each ceremony, so you can relax and be fully present in the moment.

A celebration of family – including kids and pets

So many couples want their day to reflect their whole life, not just the two of them standing at the front.

That’s why I lovingly welcome:

  • Children – as ring bearers, readers, bubble blowers, or simply delightful chaos-makers.

  • Pets – from dogs trotting down the aisle to fur-babies appearing in your vows.

Your ceremony can honour blended families, chosen families, and the people (and animals!) who have shaped your story. Love doesn’t fit neatly into a box, and neither should your ceremony.

Your story, told beautifully

If you’re planning your wedding on the Fraser Coast, overseas on K'gari or Lady Elliot Island, and you’re dreaming of a ceremony that feels personal, relaxed and meaningful, I would be honoured to help tell your story.

You bring the love. I’ll bring the words.
